The match was the final matchup of the 2015-16 regular season, a dominant one for the SCSU Huskies, as they finish 16-1, their only loss coming at the hands of Notre Dame College (Ohio). The Huskies have been nothing short of dominant this season, allowing more than 10 points just twice and have just completed and eight game stretch in which they did not allow a single school to score more than five points. During this stretch, the Huskies have outscored opponents a whopping 322-24, including a 50-0 destruction of the Minot State Beavers. The top ranked Huskies remain a perfect 8-0 in NSIC play while the loss drops Augustana to 5-3 in the conference. Augustana is fouth in the NSIC.
The SCSU Huskies must now focus their energy on the next phase of the 2015-16 campaign. The Huskies will next compete at the 2015 NCAA DII Super Regional 3 Championships from Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Feb. 27-28.
