Officially, St. Cloud State had a new graduating class on Friday, Dec. 18. However, due to the COVID-19 restrictions and the current state of positive cases, the University has decided to postpone a large in-person commencement ceremony until March 12, 2021.

Roughly 1,070 students graduated this term. Just under half of those students plan to participate in the in-person commencement ceremony this spring. This ceremony will take place in Ritsche Auditorium. This is a change of location from past graduation ceremonies that were celebrated originally in Halenbeck Hall.

In efforts to still celebrate this term’s graduates, the University provided a Virtual Tribute to the Fall 2020 graduates. Some departments also put out individual tributes to the graduates as well, including the College of Science and Engineering, the Herberger Business School, and the School of Education. Other departments held live, virtual ceremonies, such as the Nursing Department, the Masters of Business Administration program, and the Information Assurance program.
