Local skate and snowboard shop the Youth Shelter Supply is hosting their spring Campus Cruz on Saturday, May 2, starting at 3:00 p.m.

The Campus Cruz is a skateboard event that’s free and open to people of all ages and abilities. The day consists of a scavenger hunt, where participants are encouraged to travel around campus on their skateboards to find hidden prizes as quickly as possible.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m., co-owners Mike Pettit and Mike Thienes will release the treasure maps and all of the participants will be allowed to go hunt down the prizes.

The Youth Shelter Supply will hide the prizes around the SCSU Campus, ranging from skateboards to wheels to clothes and more. There will be treasure maps available with clues to find all of the items.

The Youth Shelter Supply will be holding a BBQ behind their shop at 305 5th ave. S. to kick off the event on Saturday.

The local shop organizes the event every spring and fall, and had around 40 skateboarders participate this past September.
